KIRKUK / NINA / The Tigris Operations Commander confirmed on Thursday that the Iraqi army forces and the popular mobilization cleansed a number of villages north of al-Edhaim towards Hamrin Mountains on the road to Amerli district.
The TOC, Lt. Gen. Abdul Amir Mohammad Reza al-Zaidi told the National Iraqi News Agency / NINA / that their joint force and supported by Iraqi army aviation and air force carried out a major security operation in order to be closer to besieged Amerli and cleansed the intersection of al-Safra and villages of the al-Wehda, al-Majarah, and Albu Khial northern of al-Edhaim, 16 km towards the Hamrin Mountains.

He pointed out that the operation also resulted in the killing of 29 terrorists and the destruction of three vehicles, one of them carrying guns along with the destruction of seven houses and a tanker ./ End
