Iraqi Dinar

Hello,
I was turned onto the Iraqi Dinar investment from a friend.  I am watching things daily and must say i am confused.  It's going to hit today, this is the rate to expect, you must be in a group for a better rate, it was held back by the imf, etc.  What is really going on?  Is this real or is this just a scam?

Hey there!! Well that's anyone guess really! I am leaning toward the most elaborate scam known to man BUT I am a born skeptic and the dinar hasn't helped that lol!  I do however try to remain positive and hopeful!!

Is it real? IMO, yes. Are there people out there taking advantage of the gullible? Again, IMO, yes. My advise to you would be to ignore the dinar "soothsayers" who "tickle the ears" of their followers on a daily basis. For far too many people, this has literally become a case of the blind leading the blind. Unfortunately, more than a few have been lead into buying more than they can afford, or purchasing reserves that they have no hope of paying off, In fairness, it is their greed and much as anything else that has led them to do this, but as my mother would have said, "Two wrongs don't make it right."

When will it happen? Watch the CBI, don't worry about any of the other multi-letter agencies out there. (Well OK, worry about the IRS post RV.) Watch the news, when you see the hydro carbon revenue sharing law, (HCL) the power sharing law, (Erbil) in place with a stable, fully seated government, we should be getting close. Actually, we should be very close now. Exactly when? No one knows.

What rate will we see? Well my personal feeling based on my understanding of the issues and financial realities, is that we will see an initial rate somewhere between $1.00 and $2.00/dinar. However the fundamentals are such that a rate between $3 and $4 is easily possible. Time will tell, just keep in mind that no one knows for sure.

I highly recommend you read through the Shedd post brought over by Ponee yesterday, it is one of the best explanations of what is real and what is BS I have read in a while. There are also many other excellent posts in our archives ...

Last but not least, keep in mind 90% of what you see posted from the popular gurus is pure BS, and not fit for human consumption.

 Its real money ,but when and how much is the ? Iraqs money for over half a decade now has always been worth MORE than the USD until  late 80s when it started to drop...Im not sure when Saddam had taken control of Iraq so late 80s is a ? why for me.I know that in 1950 Iraqs currency was over 4.50 usd per 1 dinar and late 80s it was around the 3.40 mark
