Warding off Bees and Wasps!

Orange Candle. So clever!
Just take an orange/lemon/grapefruit, cut in half, eat the middle porti...on, leave the center core-like stem intact. Let sit for a few hours. Then pour a kitchen oil (veg oil, olive oil, etc) into orange just below the top of the stem. Light stem. It will burn for hours and smell amazing with the added benefit of keeping bees and wasps away--they hate the smell of oranges.

A few other recipes I pulled of a site for sharing essential oil remedies:

-------------------------------------
We have black hornets trying to make homes by our front and back door and I am not a big fan of it. I mixed Peppermint & Purification oil in a big spray bottle and sprayed all around the door and their mud/honeycomb nest.

The bees hated it and haven't been back!!
--------------------------------------
For 4 years we have had wasps build nests in the electrical box outside our back door. We have tried every conceivable product on the market to rid them from this area. Nothing worked permanently. I put 2 drops of Purification and 1 oz. of water into a small spray bottle and sprayed the surface. It worked! No wasps for months now.
--------------------------------------
I was sitting on my patio one hot summer day a few years ago and my friend and I were bothered by a bee hovering around. I sprinkled a few drops of purification oil blend and the bee peacefully flew away!

Similarly, on another occasion, I was working at my church rummage sale in September and again was plagued by a bee at the (open) back door. Thank God I had my Essential 7 kit. I quickly sprinkled purification by the door. Like the first time, the bee flew away without incident! This is especially exciting for me as I have had severe reactions to insect bites all of my life and have had some particularly painful and swollen bee stings which have made me dizzy. I can rest easy, knowing purification is the non-toxic armor to make bees flee!
-------------------------------------
Purification is a blend, that can be used directly on the skin to cleanse and soothe insect bites, cuts, and scrapes. When diffused, it helps to purify and cleanse the air from environmental impurities including cigarette smoke and other disagreeable odors. It contains Citronella (Cymbopogon nardus), lemongrass (Cymbopogon flexuosus), rosemary (Rosmarinus officinalis), Melaleuca (Melaleuca alternifolia) lavandin (Lavandula x hybrida), and myrtle (Myrtus communis).

A number of people also reported good results using it on stings, as well as a combination of Peppermint and Lavender.
