Whoa!!!!!!!!!!! My eyes about bugged out of my head watching that. Very interesting and could have all kinds of applications other than guns.

I agree -- it is so awesome !! I think we could use a category for this sort of thing - call it Security - Privacy & Security Preparedness ?? which could include home - internet & even banking - I have info for all three - Would that be welcomed here?

I remember a post you put on here months ago about disaster preparedness. While nobody has to do EVERYTHING listed there, it really made me think. I copied it and look at it again every now and again, trying to add another item of two to my "kit". So at least for me, I do find that sort of material of interest.

Line the entire inside of each partition with lead sheeting and it becomes even x-ray proof to further thwart prying eyes.

That was very very original. I can only imagine the craftsmanship it would take to make something like that. Definitely not a weekend project. Your probably better off just purchasing it if you can afford it.

Well yes and no, yes it would block x-rays, but not it would not hide
them. Anyone with the initiative and wherewithal to bring an x-ray
machine would want to know why you are blocking them in certain places.
You would likely have to reinforce those areas as well. Lead is very
heavy, a 4X6X1/8" sheet weighs about 200 pounds. Twisted Evil
I am not a physicist, but I remember when we built a new x-ray room,
they specified 1/4" shielding. If you wanted to stop direct x-rays you
would likely need at least that maybe as much as 3/8 of an inch.

Not much gets by you, Inspector Kevin! Your observations always make me think a little harder about things. I appreciate that.

RICK -- great idea of course but IMHO way to costly and heavy - but who is going to have xray equipment coming into your / our homes?

Kevin -- my thoughts also -- I plan to purchase already built to my measurements -- I have a local craftsman who is extremely gifted and going to show him the video and see if would be interested in building for me

Either way - I WILL have some of these in my new home - in some of the bedrooms - a hallway - and living room -- maybe even a foyer lol
