That looks like the autobahn in Germany, I don't know if it is, though- Just looks like something that they'd do over there-It's pretty cool, though, just the same-

Nice concept if it works ... dang animals never pay attention to the no jay walking signs though ... Twisted Evil

I remember seeing this a while back ... I just can't remember the details ... but I would say it's not here in the US or Canada ... the forests are way to heavily managed for over here.

OK, found it. That one is in Europe ... the Netherlands to be exact, Ecoduct De Woeste Hoeve over the highway A50, Netherlands.

Having an educational background in Forestry, I knew it had to be in Europe. Their forests are much smaller and far more intensely managed than almost anywhere else. The forest in the image is obviously heavilly managed, for one, straight lines and rows just don't happen in nature. It is also obviously an area that is not at all arid. It was just a matter of doing a search for wildlife bridges in Europe.

Well, rats. I found a great site with lots of photos of wildlife crossing structures, but they were all copyrighted. They showed up in preview, but when I sent them to the site they didn't go through. But if you look online you can find some very interesting and inventive ways humans have attempted to keep animals safe from our vehicles.

I was quickly scrolling thru and misread the comment from Alleyrose. "We have so much road kill on our roads it's ridiculous!" Instead of ridiculous, I thought it read "delicious" Had to do a double take on that one.

Neat idea for the critters. Bet with some creative fencing and thought as to existing game trails it could work.

There is a 'Roadkill' café in Bartlett, N.H.- Have you seen it, Kevind53? It is on route 302 going north towards Crawford Notch-

You have obviously never seen a moose up close an personal ... Picture a Clydesdale or Belgian with horns and an attitude. Whitetails are smaller 150-200 lbs. Black bears can weigh up to 300 lbs.

Yes, NanneeRose, this is a REAL place- They 'grill it in the skillet!! It is normal food, they just name it after something that MIGHT get run over, chipped beef, it looks like squirrel squares, etc, that sort of thing- It is a great 'hit and 'run' restaurant-alien🐷affraid

And everything he got from 'Acme', either backfired, exploded, or fell apart, tryin to catch that friggin Roadrunner-affraid

the Irukandji jelly fish Kevin, yes it's lethal but it's not going to tear you to pieces but at the end of the day it will kill you and yes so will the croc but you can get away from a croc if it loses it's grip lol and our snakes weeeeeeell you can kill them easy enough if you see them in time, most times they just take off, well that's been my experience with them and we have had them in our yards all our married lives, the beauty of living in the country I guess lol!

Yes, we all have our little joys .... I could live off the land here for days, (and have,) with little more than good clothes, a firestarter stick, Knife and maybe a tarp. Put me in the south, desert, or down under, and I would likely be dead. I know the NE, the critters, the land, the plants ... so they are no threat to me. I would be a fish out of water over there ...

Hehe ... my wife can get lost in a parking lot ... The scary part is she is a direct descendent of Daniel Boone ... they did a study a while back on wayfinding, and discovered that men build a map in their heads and tend to be aware of directions and distances. Women on the other hand tend to navigate more visually, they remember the shape of a tree, rock, etc. and derive their directions from those things ... so if there is not a lot of visual clues to go off of they have a harder time.

Daniel Boone is that right? I didn't know he was real I just thought he was a cool tv show I used to watch, oops! I find that very interesting Kevin, I often thought that about my hubby that he had a map in his head of things.
