.86 cents or wait?

Once we see the rv, and if it comes out at .86, will you cash out ALL and run like heck, or will you wait hoping that it will go up to $2-$3 in 2 years?

Personally, I will cash out and never look back...

Yes!!! I would say PLENTY of doggy treats at .86

more then likely I will cash all out and be done with this investment, but who knows I may keep a small (very small) portion just in case it does increase more.

I would take my .86 and call it good. Aside from how loooong everybody has been waiting, I would fear that they would then decide they would want to account for ALL IQD, and if they changed the money again, or made "certain" bills worthless because they were no longer necessary in citizen usage in transactions - they would put a "tiime limit" on turning those bills in. They would have no reason to make this "internationally known" to individuals - only to the banking industry.

I would hate to be caught with toilet paper when I had a change for value - however low.

Catherine- Randy K's 3.41 is just what it is-S-P-E-C-U-L-A-T-I-O-N- It will come out at what it comes out at,and that's the bottom line-How high the rate is, is anyone's guess- I think we will be happy as long as it's at least a dollar-

I would say he is still stuck on RI instead of RV. Could they? speculating - it is a possibility - however small. They still have the same items of trade - and new ones like the natural gas and precious gems. They are even sitting on gold - but would have to dig up the city and destroy it to get to it. And the price of oil is higher than so many years ago.

He "could" be right - but it is a wishful speculation I just can't hang my hat on...

I still have to stay with the one thing I have seen in "black-and-white" which would be the SIGIR report from April 30, 2012 "postponed plans for a currency reform" " removed three zeros from the Iraqi dinar in 2013 and required the issuance of new currency notes" "The reform would have made the dinar's value slightly less that $1."

This report tells me there has and is a plan already in place...this is not new. I believe it was already decided on how it would play out, just no committment as to when.

Since the arrangement was made while the "government democracy" was being put into effect - the blocs are now feeling that this should have been "their" collective decision, and maybe they feel like the world is trying to "keep them down" by only allowing a value of "just under $1" (or at least the USA since we went in). So now they argue, and try to say "laws" need to be made, or argue about "where the authority lies" in an attempt to control it themselves.

I believe close to 1:1, and I believe any time is good BUT, I don't see it before September. I did have my hopes up and was so excited I was fit to be tied...only to find myself in that familiar boat of believing misinterpreted information. Dummy me.

Why don't I believe as far as January 1, 2013? I believe they will get the notes "out there" so that the country gets rid of Dollarization in time for the new year - since the government budget is supposedly based on the currency reform.

July is out for me - Chap VII meeting the end of this month - if it were within 24 hours of that meeting - we couldn't go to the banks before July 30th - so I call this month gone.

By the date of the meeting - Ramadan will be in full swing. Don't belive they will reform their currency during a "holiday", since there will be people traveling to the country, they will make money off the currency exchange, and other countries will be "dollars" increasing dollarization. They will want to remove those dollars, but it will happen through all of Ramadan (August 20th or so - depending on when it starts). The last 3 days or for 3 days after is a huge celebration (forgive me, my knowledge of muslim holidays is a bit rusty) If it is 3 days after, that puts it not until an announcement on the 24th - live on the 26th, and we can do nothing till August 27th - August gone.

NOW - SEPTEMBER - Sept 1 is a Saturday. Thier banks are closed. Their next time to make a transition over a weekend is not til December.

They could issue the new notes, with the currency reform, and RV September 1st, and we would have the benefit September 4th.

Too many variables - too many if:then - I feel like I am writing a flow chart that has so many options its tedious. (why I no longer program computers)

At .10 I am still in. At .86 I am mostly out, but some still in. At 16.40 I am all out, AND I will be finding my buddy and see if I can take some of his from him. Oh, he outweighs me by a hundred pounds. Better take a BIG stick. Just kidding. I could mess with him, though.
