There both pro and con arguements to deletion of the zeros. Just like here (or anywhere else for that matter) These 2 sides do not always agree. This appears to be of the opposing side to deletion.

Baghdad (IBA) ... A Deputy from the Liberal block commented Abdel Hussein Al-Husseini ressan economy and Investment Committee member of Parliament on the subject of deleting zeros from the currency, that the economic situation is such a change in the present time.

Husseini said in a statement received independent press agency (IBA) the deletion of zeros from the currency means changing the format and value, noting such needed legislation as provided for in the Constitution.

He noted that the country's economic condition appropriate for such a change in the present time, not to mention the lack of real reforms for the banking sector.

The General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers has called for caution in deleting zeros from the currency change, arguing that just thinking about withdrawing some 40 trillion dinars, storage and destruction needs serious study of the subject.(End)

Same old carp they have been dishing out for months. Since the project came from the CBI and not parliament it could not possibly be right ... the timing is wrong, it will cause counterfeiting, help gangs, is unconstitutional blah, blah, blah ...
