VPBank, Vietnam Airlines debut joint MasterCard
VietFinanceNews.com - VPBank and Vietnam Airlines Corp. have announced a joint MasterCard for their high-profile customers who travel and purchase products and services frequently.
The Vietnam Airlines - VPBank Platinum MasterCard allows the holder to pay their bills printed in and outside Vietnam as well as enjoy services of the bank and the airline. Members of Golden Lotus Plus program of Vietnam Airlines can earn miles when they use the MasterCard to pay for its goods and services or exchange for accumulated points of VPBank.
Members will accumulate one mile for every VND50,000 (some US$2.5) spent in Vietnam or VND25,000 spent outside the country. Besides, they will be able to swap 10 points of VPBank for one mile from Vietnam Airlines from June this year as planned.
The holder of the MasterCard can redeem their miles for air-tickets of Vietnam Airlines, be upgraded to Business-class seats, participate in promotion programs of the airline and the bank, and win vouchers for holidays at high-end resorts and hotels across Vietnam.
Nguyen Hung, chief executive officer of VPBank, said in a statement released on Monday after the two sides signed the agreement that the cooperation would enable customers to benefit from products and services of the two parties.
Hung stressed issuing credit and debit cards for domestic and international payments were part of the bank’s efforts to develop products and services for individual customers and gradually realize a strategy to become one of the leading commercial joint-stock banks in Vietnam.
