Iran, Iran, Iran. Take a deep breath and chill out.

Iran: For clarification (it appears this is needed):

Iran is the Titanic.
The United States of America is the Iceberg.

Any questions?

I agree that a well trained boy scout troop could take them, but doesn't our Iraqi oil that going to play for our RV come through the Strait of Hormuz? It seems like we can't go 3 days without news that raises oil $5 a barrel. Our past history in this area of the world proves they don't have to beat us to beat us!

If they try to close the strait, it would be with their ships, speedboats, and mines.

With our forces nearby, do you think there might be a little more habitat on the bottom of the gulf, for the fish?

IMO Air, and sea superiority would likely take a few hours. A few more to neutralize their missile capability ... but ... The mines would be the biggest threat. Capable of being scattered by most any vessel, even subs, powerful, not easily detected or removed, CHEAP. They can be pressure wave, magnetic or acoustically triggered on the bottom, or floating with contact horns... just to many variables ... and did I mention they are CHEAP! affraid
